The Pipa is a famous beach in the municipality of Tibau do Sul, being 85 km from Natal, capital of Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil. It is the largest resort in the Southern coast of the state, which includes beaches like Ponta do Madeiro and Love Beach. The most endemic and unusual feature of this tropical paradise is the junction between towering dunes on the horizon superimposed on top of the boards that end in cliffs geo-morphologically living by the sea and wind, not known elsewhere in the world where coastal dune sedimentary cliffs and recombine so spectacularly green with a dense enough to take the front falesiana. Initially it was a sleepy fishing village, very calm, quiet, to be frequented by surfers and soon tourists from all over the planet. It is famous for having one of the busiest nights of the state, has a large number of hotels, inns, hostels, restaurants, bars, clubs and is always full, either in high or low season. Pipa is still a place that attracts many surfers due to its waves, and has recently also being sought by practitioners of kite surfing, thanks to the combination of beautiful waves and strong winds. The name "kite" is due to the fact that the Portuguese ship passing nearby spotted by a stone resembling a shape of a kite. Pipa, Portugal, the name is more usual for a barrel of wine or olive oil [1], so the stone reminded. Pipa also has a history of Dutch Brazil in the war, as explained by the entry dedicated to Maurice of Nassau. The Pipa, in its entirety, is defined as an area of conservation of sea turtles, according to Resolution No. 10 of 24.10.1996, the National Environment Council (CONAMA) [2]. It is clarified that the name Pipa Beach is best known by locals and the state's population, while the name Pipa Beach is best known by tourists.
