Sienna City Lights

With the long dark days of winter, we don't have our usual bright warm light, so we have been having to come up with some interesting light of our own. These shots were taken at night with a variety of techniques, varying from pure timed exposure (of 30 seconds), to painting Sienna with a beam from a flashlight over a 10-20 second exposure, to a six second exposure using a studio flash. This was a tough shoot for Sienna, holding herself very still on the narrow window ledge, pressed against the cold glass... The ones on the bench were not quite as hard. It was kind of fun wondering if anyone in the nearby houses was looking up.

It was hard to light Sienna without getting glare on the window. This one was done by bouncing a regular flashilight beam off the ceiling. Looks like perfect "moonlight" ;-)
Damon: When the lights go down in the city..what a beautiful shot!!!
