. . . continuing from Scavenger Hunt 4.After the morning laundry mishap, I stopped at the post office.<br /><br />First established in 1789 with 75 post offices, the US Postal Service expanded to over 76,000 post offices in 1900 delivering 7 billion pieces of mail annually.Today, it has less than 28,000 post offices, but delivers over 202 billion pieces of mail annually.<br /><br />The US Postal Service gets my vote as the most efficient Government service.<br /><br />And thanks to the peel-and-stick stamps, Jacques spends more time licking more important things.<br /><br />(scavenger hunt: Post Office)
