Port of Chickens is a famous beach in the Northeast region of Brazil, located in Ipojuca in the state of Pernambuco. His fame is due mainly to natural beauty: pools of clear water and warm formed between reefs, estuaries, mangroves, white sand and palm trees. Initially, the beach was called Puerto Rico, due to its abundance in Brazil wood. At the height of slavery in Brazil was the main point of the slave trade illegal in northeastern Brazil. Often, they came hidden under crates of chickens d'Angola. The arrival of the illegal slave port used to be announced by the new phrase has chicken in port! Thus, the beach of Puerto Rico became known as Port of Chickens. The entire region is frequented by tourists, who admire the natural beauty of the region. Port of Chickens is also frequented by surfers from different nationalities.
